On June 5th, Memorial Tournament host Jack Nicklaus proudly celebrated with BIGHORN’s own William McGirt after winning his first PGA TOUR victory. Nicklaus raved about McGirt’s bunker shot on the 18th hole at Muirfield Village that kept him in the playoff. He followed up that shot with an easy, well easy for him, flop shot from behind the green and a 6-foot putt to secure his victory over John Curran. “Surprisingly, I felt no nerves standing over that putt and poured it right in the middle,” McGirt said.

“I kept doing it because this was my ultimate dream, to get on the PGA TOUR and try to win,” added McGirt. Now he’s No. 43 in the world, has won against one of the strongest fields in one of the tour’s best known and respected tournaments, and has been assured a spot in his first national championship.

“We are very proud of William,” shares BIGHORN Chairman R.D. Hubbard. “We wish him great success with his upcoming tournaments – he’s a rising star!”
