In 2017, BIGHORN welcomed PGA Tour phenom Jon Rahm as a new Member and ambassador of the BIGHORN brand. BIGHORN Chairman R.D. Rahm is one of the hottest players in the world with his July 2017 win at the Irish Open. Rahm set the tournament scoring record with a final score of 24-under par, 264, which was the lowest winning score by three shots in this prestigious European Tour event. He has moved to 6th in the Official 0World Golf Rankings, finished 5th in the 2017 FedEx Cup Race, and is currently 3rd in the Race to Dubai on the European Tour.

Raised in Barrika, Spain, Rahm is a proud graduate of Arizona State University and he is the only two-time winner of the Ben Hogan Award, an honor that recognizes the outstanding male amateur and collegiate golfer of the year. He also won the Jack Nicklaus Award in 2016, is a four-time NCAA All-American and has the distinct honor of being the #1 ranked amateur player in the world for the most weeks (60) and winning the 2015 Mark H. McCormack Medal as the leading player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.

The explosive arrival of Jon Rahm onto the coveted stage of the PGA Tour came at the 2017 Farmers Insurance Open where he won his first PGA Tour 30 In April 2017, BIGHORN featured a New Generation of Golf Exhibition.Jon Rahm played with Charlie Reiter, the 24th nationally ranked junior golfer in the U.S. and Lucy Li, the 2016 PGA Junior Champion and youngest female player ever to qualify for the U.S. Women’s Amateur and the U.S. Women’s Open Championships.

With additional impressive finishes at the World Golf Championship event in Mexico (T-3rd) and World Golf Championship Match Play event (2nd), Rahm has proven that he belongs in the conversation with the world’s elite in golf and hopefully culminates with becoming the #1 player in the world!
